Now on its 2nd year, the Lubao International Balloon Festival promises to raise the balloons even higher this time around. Touted the biggest annual hot air balloon festival in Southeast Asia, the event will be featuring 40 hot air balloons from different countries such as Germany, Malaysia, Europe, and USA. It also boasts of 12 balloons shaped in popular characters – Darth Vader, Yoda, Obelix, Humpty Dumpty and more!
Speaking of Darth Vader and Yoda, the Philippine Garrison of the 501st Legion will also be part of the weekend festivities. Get ready to meet Boba Fett, storm troopers, Darth Vader, TIE pilots, biker scouts, and imperial officers. So feel free to don a Star Wars costume and party with the Empire!
In addition to the hot air balloons, there will also be concerts, street activities, aerial, land & water exhibitions, paragliding shows, animal show, water balloon fights, bazaars, cultural shows, and fireworks display. Check out the schedule of activities below:

- Take San Fernando Toll exit.
- Turn left towards Jose Abad Santos Avenue (former Olongapo-Gapan Road)
- Head towards town of Lubao, passing Gua-gua – Sta. Rita intersection and Golangco intersection
- Venus is at right side of highway, before the Pampanga and Bataan arch
From SCTex –
- Take Dinalupihan toll exit
- Turn left to Lubao
- Venue is right after the Pampanga and Bataan arch
This festival is organized by Pilipinas International Balloon Festival, Ibc. (PIBF) in cooperation with the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office of Pampanga (ACTO) and with support from the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
